IU National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health
2012-2013 Project INFluence Community Coalition Initiative
With support from the Indiana Section of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists, the IU National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health is making $1000 available for each of the state’s 10 public health preparedness districts to form collaborative community-based women’s health coalitions. If funded, coalitions will be asked to raise awareness about cervical cancer prevention and the HPV vaccine with at least one of the following audiences:
• Health care providers
• Teens (and their parents), and college-age/young adults;
• Women of INFluence in each community/region*
To help the funded Project INFluence coalitions reach these goals, supportive resources are available including the WOW Bus, IU faculty speakers, CME support, and promotional materials.
In 2013, funds permitting, and if requirements for year one have been met, regional coalitions can continue their work to expand their impact within their region.

*Project INFluence (Indiana Female Leaders Unite) provides an avenue by which Hoosier women are educated about critical women’s health issues, given a charge to educate about and advocate for women’s health in their own spheres of influence, and provided with resources to help them accomplish this goal.
