While experts are still calculating the costs of the COVID-19 pandemic to the US economy, when it comes to seasonal influenza, we have years of data to point to.

The seasonal flu costs US employers an average of $16 billion in lost earnings each year, with employees missing approximately 17 million workdays costing $7 billion in sick days. The single best way to prevent the flu is with vaccination. By increasing flu vaccinations across your workforce, you can avoid these losses.

According to a Kaiser Family Foundation survey, about 20% of unvaccinated employees said they would be more likely to get vaccinated if their employer gave them paid time off. Companies have a unique opportunity to protect the health of their workforce and business by hosting on-site vaccination clinics.
