Tdap Vac and Friends Visit the Classroom

Pertussis, also known as “Whooping Cough,” is making a comeback. When you get the Tdap Vaccine, not only are you protecting yourself, but you are also reducing the chance of transmitting the disease to someone else. Infants are especially vulnerable to Pertussis. Two infants right here in Indiana have died from Pertussis in the last year or so. These two deaths could have been prevented. The infants may have contracted Pertussis through contact with parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, even the healthcare workers.

Click here to check out the Tdap Vac video. The Tdap Vac video and website were created for the purpose of educating youth and their parents about the dangers of pertussis (whooping cough) and the availability of a vaccine to prevent pertussis in adolescents and adults.
